DAC8552IDGKR
Dual 16-bit voltage-output DAC with SPI interface and low power in a small VSSOP-8 package.
The DAC8552IDGKR is a Texas Instruments dual 16-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converter with an SPI interface in a small VSSOP-8 package. It provides two independent 16-bit channels, so one device can generate two analog outputs for a control loop, a calibration function or a bias network, and the SPI interface connects it easily to a microcontroller or a C2000 real-time controller. The 16-bit resolution gives fine control over the output, which suits setpoint generation, trimming and bias adjustment where a small step size matters, and the low power consumption makes it suitable for portable and battery-powered instruments. Because the output is a voltage rather than a current, it can drive a control input directly in many designs. It is a natural companion to a precision ADC such as the ADS1115, so a system can both measure and control an analog quantity, and to a C2000 controller for motor and power loops that need an analog setpoint. The accuracy of the output depends on the reference and the layout, so the reference and the analog supply must be planned with the same care as the converter itself. Every device is factory-traceable and ships with an import declaration, a certificate of origin and RoHS documentation. BeiLuo holds this part in regional stock and our FAE team supports control-loop and layout design.
FAE Professional Review
This DAC is our recommendation when a system must output an analog setpoint or a calibration voltage with fine resolution. The dual channel covers two outputs in one package, and the SPI interface keeps the connection simple. Its accuracy depends on the reference and the layout, so treat the reference as part of the design rather than an afterthought. It pairs naturally with the ADS1115 for a measure-and-control loop.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the two channels for?
Each 16-bit channel is an independent voltage output, so one device can drive two setpoints, two bias voltages or a two-axis control.
That saves a package in a multi-output design.
What does the output accuracy depend on?
The output accuracy depends on the reference, the supply and the layout as much as on the converter, so a clean reference and a careful layout are essential.
Decouple the supply and keep the output trace away from digital noise.
